About ewlps

EWLPS is not another legal-tech vendor guessing what HDR files need.

EWLPS is a family-run business built by Shaine Stead after 30 years inside leading UK solicitors' firms, vetting housing disrepair claims for CMCs who are tired of paying for leads that die on panel rejection.

Where CMCs lose money

The CMC buys the lead. Intake bundles the letters, photos, and tenancy papers. The file goes to panel. Then the solicitor sends it back: weak notice, no Section 11 angle, causation missing, limitation not checked, Awaab's Law timelines ignored. That file is dead. The lead cost and the panel's patience are wasted.

Generic software will report that a document is “a letter about damp.” That is useless at instruction. CMCs need to know whether the statutory 12-week notice period was met, whether Grand v Gill is in play, and whether the quantum estimate will survive a Part 35 challenge.

They summarise. EWLPS litigates.

EWLPS was built from litigation logic outwards, not from a document summariser inwards. It parses correspondence, flags structural defects, checks pre-action protocol compliance, and scores the file against eleven HDR criteria panel firms actually care about. CMCs receive a court-compliant structure and an ironclad evidence pack before another penny is spent on referral.

Founder & Legal Operations Director

“This tool exists so your files are so legally airtight that your panel solicitors cannot find a reason to reject them.”

Shaine Stead, Founder & Legal Operations Director

Shaine Stead has spent over 30 years embedded inside leading UK solicitors' firms, running housing disrepair claims from first instruction through to final trial verdict. He has specialised exclusively in HDR since 2013. Every check in EWLPS, from Section 11 compliance to tenant lifestyle arguments, comes from that casework, not from a product team watching legal videos.

The family behind the file checks

Small team. No account managers. No fluff.

EWLPS is run by the Stead family. That is deliberate. When a CMC calls, the conversation is with people who have lived inside HDR casework and built the system themselves, not a sales desk reading from a script.

Charlie Stead

Media & Digital Communications Manager

If the system does not match how disrepair files actually work on the ground, CMCs will not use it. My job is to make sure it does.

Charlie Stead

Charlie has spent nearly a decade on the front line of housing disrepair work inside established firms, from the age of 17 through her mid-twenties. She knows what a CMC intake team actually needs from a portal, and she runs EWLPS tutorials, client materials, and every screen intake staff will touch.

Georgie Stead

Compliance Officer

Your case files are sensitive. Our job is to keep them in the UK, locked down, and fully UK GDPR compliant.

Georgie Stead

Georgie runs the EWLPS regulatory and data protection framework. She reviews how case data is stored, accessed, and handled so that every workflow meets UK GDPR and professional standards. No shortcuts.

All EWLPS infrastructure runs on AWS in London (eu-west-2). Case data stays in the UK. EWLPS does not use uploaded files to train models or browse them internally. Georgie audits that policy, and full detail will be published before launch.
